Fantasy Football Flyers: Week 11

The BYE BYE BYE’S are back! This is actually a very heavy bye week with the Texans, Saints, Steelers and the WINLESS Colts. These flyers could prove crucial as fantasy playoff time nears.

QB: Last week I chose Tim Tebow and Carson Palmer, not only did they both WIN but they put up 16 & 15 points respectively. Time to keep the ball rolling at QB with Schaub, Big Ben and Brees out…

John Skelton – It is looking more and more like Kevin Kolb will not play Sunday against the 49ers. If there is one flaw in the 49ers defense it is their secondary, despite a few mistakes Eli Manning ate them up last week. Now, Skelton is no ELIte QB, but he is coming off a great game and when in doubt, just throw the ball up to Larry Fitzgerald.

Matt Moore – Matt Moore has led the Dolphins to 2 wins in a row and has another good chance this week against a Buffalo Bills defense that passes out yards like candy on Halloween. Moore was the offensive player of the week just 1 week ago and could be money this Sunday.

RB: Last week I suggested Roy Helu (5 points) and Chris Ogbonnaya (10 points) to you guys. If it weren’t for Mike Shanahan Helu maybe would’ve had a chance, but NO he had to start Torain. Anyone with Foster/Tate, Sproles/Ingram/Thomas or Mendenhall don’t worry, I’ve got you covered for one week and things will be back to normal before you know it….

Kendall Hunter – With Frank Gore banged up, I expect to see Hunter get more carries. Even though Gore is expected to play, I doubt he will get the amount of touches he has been getting, they will play him conservatively. However, the 49ers will NOT stop running the ball. This kid is quick and powerful, reminds me a lot of a Ray Rice/MJD type.

Dexter McCluster – The Chiefs are going to need production for McCluster with Matt Cassel’s status up in the air. Yes, he will compete with Battle for carries, but he also catches passes. I think his speed will be tough for the slow New England defense to match up against.

WR: Last week I recommended Antonio Brown (8 points) and Torrey Smith (3 points). Bad week compared to the previous before that, however I am much more confident this week about my two young stud WR’s. If you own Colston or Wallace, you should check these guys out…

Laurent Robinson – Robinson had a break out performance last week (19 fantasy points) against the Bills with Miles Austin out another week. This guy could be a huge player down the stretch as Tony Romo and the Cowboys look for continued success against the Washington Redskins.

Vincent Brown – Where did this guy come from? When I was getting fantasy updates I honestly thought they accidently put Brown and Vincent Jackson’s last name (Not because he is on my fantasy team or anything). He is a new vertical threat for Rivers as Floyd continues to nurse his injury for at least another week.

TE: Another bad week for TE’s, I must apologize.  3 points by both Ballard and Chandler is unacceptable. As a result, I did my HW and have 2 guys for you that will make your woes of not having Graham (ME!), Daniels, Tamme or Miller time in…

Ed Dickson – The Ravens TE is beginning to develop a connection with Joe Flacco as he is unable to throw accurately to any of his WR’s consistently. It has always been said that the TE is a QB’s best friend, and I am beginning to sense that here. (After Ray Rice of course)

Delanie Walker – This guy has to be one of the most underrated players in the entire NFL. The only reason he isn’t starting is because Vernon Davis is in front of him. As teams begin to stack the box and double Vernon, “Sky” Walker is beginning to see a lot more targets. Look for him to have a big week against the Cardinals LB’s.

D/ST: A huge turnaround week for me as I went from D/ST combining for negative points to having the Browns and Jags score 10 and 17 points respectively. With the Texans and Steelers D/ST out, here are two options that could come up big…

Dolphins D/ST – The Dolphins have been playing solid defense all year long and now that the offense is doing a little something to help, they are even better. Look for them to come up big against the free falling Buffalo Bills.

Seahawks D/ST – If a team gets to play the St. Louis Rams, they may just automatically make this list. Somehow the Rams are worst than they are last year with less injuries and more talent, I don’t understand. But I digress, the Seahawks defense played great against the Ravens and I’m feeling a little giddy about a Leon Washington KR/PR TD!
