NFL Week 13 Predictions

Top Games:

1) CIN vs. PIT – The Bengals have been a surprise team this year with two rookies, Andy Dalton (QB) and A.J Green (WR) carrying the offense. On the other side of the field, Big Ben had thumb issues last week but he should be better today. This is going to be a matchup of great defenses with the team who gets the key turnover winning the game. Last time these teams met A.J Green made an amazing catch in-between three Steelers defenders but the Steelers came away with the win. The Steelers will have both Troy Polamalu and Lamar Woodley this week despite their nagging injuries. That being said, I think the Steelers defense gets the best of the rookie Andy Dalton and the Steelers win Round 2 of this matchup. WINNER = THE STEEL CURTAIN!

2) GB vs. NYG – The undefeated Packers will face one of their toughest tests this week against the New York Giants. This isn’t the first time this scenario has come about with the Giants trying to upset undefeated football teams. They have defeated both the Packers and Patriots while they were better than 11-0. The Packers defense is their weakness and Eli Manning looks to be playing his best ball of the year. Unfortunately, the Giants will go another week without Ahmad Bradshaw. The Packers on the other hand look to continue doing what they have all year, throw the ball over the field. The Packers are getting healthy which means they have all their weapons at their disposal. This game really comes down to which Giants defense decides to show up. But I fully expect the Packers continue their pursuit of perfection and get this win, this team is special.  WINNER = PACK, PACK, PACK!

3) DET vs. NO – This game has playoff implications as both of these teams have high powered offenses with solid defenses. The Lions offense has been very inconsistent this year and that is due in part to the play of Matthew Stafford. When Stafford is on his game, the Lions are a tough team to beat with all the weapons at this disposal. The Saints on the other hand can count on Drew Brees to play well in every single game. Brees is on pace to break the NFL passing yards record held by Dan Marino. The Saints offense isn’t short on weapons either with all their WR’s, Jimmy Graham and the three headed backfield. If the Saints defense can slow down the Stafford – Megatron connection then they should be fine in this game. The Saints are a tough team to beat a home, and I don’t see the Lions pulling it off. WINNER = WHO DAT!?
