NFL Week 14 Predictions

Top Games:
1) HOU vs. CIN – This game has playoff implications as the ground and pound Texans go head to head with the stout Bengals run defense. This should be a great matchup to watch as these teams battle in the trenches. Houston has one of the best offensive lines in the NFL while the Bengals have one of the best defensive lines in the NFL. This game could ultimately come down to the play of 3rd string QB T. J Yates. He hasn’t looked bad but he also hasn’t looked good. If the Bengals can get pressure on him and force him to make some mistakes, they can win this ballgame. That being said, I think the Texans are able to score some points and hold Andy Dalton and the Bengals. People forget that the Texans also have one of the best defenses in the league despite losing Super Mario Williams for the year. WINNER = THE RESILIENT TEXANS!

2) NO vs. TEN – This matchup is an interesting one as Drew Brees looks to keep his hot streak going against the CJ1K led Titans. We all know what the Saints can do on offense at it is scary when they are clicking on all cylinders. Drew Brees is on pace to break Dan Marino’s passing record and the Sproles/Ingram combo has given the Saints some balance on offense. On the other sideline, the Titans have been playing some good football since the re-emergence of Chris Johnson. If the Titans can get their running game going they have a chance against the Saints less than impressive defense. All things considered, the Saints offense will prove too much for the Titans and the Saints will get another W for their WHO DAT NATION! WINNER = WHO DAT!?

3) NYG vs. DAL – This game not only could determine the leader of the NFC East this weekend, but the winner of the division crown at the end of the year as well. The Giants are a game behind Dallas but matchup against them this Sunday as well as the final Sunday of the season. Eli Manning has the Giants offense rolling as they nearly upset the Green Bay Packers last weekend. The Giants front seven will have to find a way to get pressure on Tony Romo to disrupt their explosive passing game. The Cowboys are fresh off a loss to the Cardinals where they looked very flat. On offense it is simple, they need to get Demarco Murray going so that they have a balanced attack. On defense they are going to need to get pressure on Eli because if he has time to stand around, he is going to pick them apart. In the end, I think we have a tie atop the NFC East after this game and get to wait until Week 17 to see who will be crowned the champion. WINNER = THE G-MEN!!!
